It makes sense to me: birthdays are fun and cruises are fun. Where else can you eat like a king all hours of the day and night, play shuffleboard, and have towels that remind you you're on a "fun ship"?
Unfortunately, having a birthday in September means you're already re-stuck in a classroom and too poor to take off on a cruise. I appreciate the offer anyway, carnival.com. And I admire the way the towels are folded like animals when you come back into your stateroom.

I commiserate about the fall birthday, however, this year, I am taking revenge by going on one big vacation!
I've always been under the impression that "fun" meant small. Look at all the fun sized candy bars and the fun-packs of potato chips. All are much smaller than the original. I'm pleased to see that Carnival is trying to strike against the tyranny of tiny fun by making every facet of their fun ship larger than life. Even the towels are hugegantic! I mean just look at that thing!
