Waterboarding Isn't Totally Bodacious, Dude

For our Human Rights Week next week at WSU we'll be having several lecturers addressing U.S. torture practices throughout the world and I was happy to hear Amy Goodman addressing waterboarding in today's broadcast of "Democracy Now." As a bonus, Naomi Klein was interviewed in the second half of the show and said some things I found interesting since I just finished The Shock Doctrine last week. It's intriguing to see some of the principles/consequences of disaster capitalism explained in her book popping up even in the last few weeks in the California wildfires. Watch, read, or listen to the interview here.

I nominate Daniel S. Potter for non-partisan party President elect.

I will now make my $20 pledge to help the cause.

All hail no shows on Sunday as Built to Spill as my witness...

I enjoyed this word verification

"esxsyet"

What is this trying to tell me?

I humbly accept your nomination and your twenty bucks. Throw in some of that sushi from that place in Portland and you've got yourself a place in my cabinet, mister.

"esxsyet" is me bringing sexy back.
